我今天在逛reddit的守望区的时候,突然发现了一篇文章在美服论坛上引起了热议,也没什么事做,遂搬运过来分享一下,已经翻译好了。(第一次翻译见笑了,有错误请指出,感激不尽。)

I’ve always maintained that the problem with Overwatch isn’t the game (balance notwithstanding), but the playerbase itself. Yes, you should be able to play with a hero you like, but you should also prioritize putting what your team NEEDS above your own personal desires. It is a TEAM game after all.

我一直主张一个观点:守望先锋这个游戏本身没有问题(尽管平衡方面仍有争论),而是它的玩家出现了问题。是的,你可以去玩你喜欢玩的英雄,但比起你个人(喜欢玩哪个英雄),你应该优先考虑你的队伍的“需要”,毕竟它是一款团队游戏。

[i]Overwatch isn’t CoD, Battlefield or any other FPS where your pick has little bearing on the outcome. Yes, a game like Battlefield has classes, but it also has 64 players running around huge maps in squads of four. Someone going medic in BF isn’t as vital to the teams success as a healer in OW.

守望先锋不是cod(使命召唤),battlefield(战地)或者其他任何一款fps游戏,对于这些游戏来说,你的选择(英雄/角色)对战局的影响没那么大。没错,像战地这样的游戏一样也会有各种角色可供选择,但是战地的地图非常大,而且在一局游戏里会有64个玩家为之连续激战几个小时,在战地里选择一个医疗兵与在守望先锋里选择一个奶妈绝不相同,一个治疗者在守望先锋中至关重要(守望先锋的奶比战地的奶要重要的多)。

Selfish players (aka lone wolves) can argue that OW is too dependent on teamwork and composition and they’d be right, but you can’t fault the game for that. Blaming OW for not allowing you to “lone wolf it” is ridiculous because you’re not supposed to be able to carry five other teammates solo (unless you play Genji and Tracer, but that’s a rant for another day). The kind of “domino effect” that drives players crazy is inherent in the games design.

自私的玩家们(也被叫做独狼)会争论说守望先锋太依赖团队合作和队伍组成了。这话没毛病,但是你不能因此而怪罪这款游戏啊。你怪罪守望先锋的理由是守望先锋不允许你做一个“独狼”?这太荒谬了,因为守望先锋本来就没有设想玩家能够单独的carry其他队友(除非你玩猎空或者源氏,这是另一个有抱怨有争议的话题)。这种让玩家变的疯狂(?这里的疯狂可能用词不当,各位将就看看)的“多米诺效应”本就是游戏设计方面固有的东西。

A single pick in OW can be the difference between winning and losing, and winning - not your K/D ratio or gold medals - is all that matters. I’ve been in matches where my team was getting our butt kicked and a single person switching completely changed the flow of the match in our favor. If you refuse to switch when you’re chosen hero is ineffective or being countered, that’s not the games fault or Blizzard needing to buff your main, that’s you being selfish. Having great mechanical skills doesn’t mean you’re a great teammate. Pinpoint accuracy is worthless is you're a poor decision maker. In other words, getting gold in eliminations means nothing if your team loses because you refused to switch.

守望先锋中一次选英雄就可能是赢和输的关键点,(比起你的K/D比和金牌数来说)赢才是最重要的。在我玩的很多场(守望先锋)游戏中,我的队伍本来是占劣势的,但是一个人站了出来,他优先考虑队伍利益,改变了自己本来的英雄,也改变了那局游戏的走向。如果你选择的英雄低效而且被针对了,你还不换,那么你就是个自私的人,这不是游戏的问题,也不是暴雪需要加强你的主玩英雄,而是因为你很自私。你玩游戏的技术非常高超并不代表这你对别人来说是一个很好的队友。如果你的选择很糟糕,你打的再准也没用。换句话说,如果是因为你拒绝换英雄而导致你队伍输掉这场比赛,你拿再多的金牌也并不重要。

Part of the division I see within the OW community is comprised of two main camps: Group A - the side that wishes to play the game the way it was designed with teamwork, composition and communication working towards the goal of improving and winning. This is also the group that pays attention to the meta and will flame you into oblivion for playing an off-meta hero. Group B - this side believes paying for the game entitles them to play whomever and however they want regardless of the mode. This group doesn’t care about the meta, their team or even winning. All they want to do is “have fun”, even if that fun comes at the expense of everyone else. They will refuse to switch even when it’s painfully obvious they should do so.

我在守望先锋社区看到的人主要分为两类:

第一类人:希望能够和队友交流合作,一起努力一起提高拿下比赛。这类人同样很关注版本变化,当你在玩一个对抗版本的英雄,这类人会对你非常非常生气,甚至把你喷出xiang。

第二类人:这类人认为,这是一款收费游戏,而他们已经给过钱了,所以不管游戏模式如何,不管队伍需求,他们有权利玩任何他们想玩的英雄。这类人一点也不关心版本变化,他们队伍的输赢。他们所要的就是玩的开心,尽管他们的“开心”是建立在别人不开心的基础之上的。就算他们被针对了,玩的很痛苦,很明显已经到了该换英雄的时候了,他们还是拒绝换英雄。

Let me just say this as plainly as possible - both groups are toxic as hell. ‘A’ is almost too serious and ‘B’ doesn’t care, but that’s not a problem if they’re playing different modes or facing each other. The real problem is that players from both groups are being matched with each other. The odds for success are slim when 4 players from group A are matched with 2 people from group B or vice versa. The ratio doesn’t matter either. 3 from each; 5-to-1, etc.

让我把话说的简单明白点,这两类人都是毒瘤。第一类人对游戏太严肃了,第二类人则是什么都不在乎。如果这两类人不在同一个模式,不在同一个小队的话,这并没有什么问题,但问题是,这两类人会被匹配到一个小队里!如果你的队伍有4个第一类人加上2个第二类人,你赢的几率很渺茫,(3个第一类人,3个第二类人或者其他搭配也是一样的,这里的数字并不重要)。

Without a dedicated LFG system in place, the OW matchmaker is putting people together based on some hidden MMR. A real team game doesn’t just need to match the skill level (or SR) of its players, but their personalities, hero flexibility and limitations as well. Even age should be a factor because - and this is my humble opinion - kids shouldn’t be matched with adults. Kids have curfews, homework, dinner and when their parents come calling, they need to stop immediately and leave. This happens all the time in Comp because most kids don’t possess time management skills. So long as Groups A and B are forced to play together, this chaos will continue and the OW community will forever be split and argue indefinitely.

守望先锋设计匹配机制的人并没有恰当的设计良好的组队系统,而是根据隐藏的MMR把玩家们匹配在一起。一个真正的团队并不需要匹配玩家的技术水平,真正需要匹配的是玩家的性格和英雄池,有时候年龄也应该成为其中一个因素,(这是本人很真诚的建议),我们不应该把孩子和成人匹配到一起。孩子有宵禁,有作业,晚饭,当他们父母回来的时候,他们需要马上暂停游戏离开,(很多时候这种情况都会发生)孩子们做不到能够有效的管理他们的时间。只要第一类人和第二类人强制性的匹配在一起,这种混乱就会发生,而守望先锋社区会永远因为这两种人的存在而分离,伴随着还有无休止的争吵。

TL;DR The best thing about Overwatch is also its achilles heel - it’s designed to be a team game. That is a laudable goal, except Blizzard failed to take into account that the majority of people are selfish and I’m quite certain it can’t patch selflessness into its playerbase.

要求团队合作是守望先锋最棒的地方,也是它的阿克琉斯之踵(即致命的弱点),除了暴雪没有考虑到一大部分玩家很自私之外,这是个很值得称赞的设计,我同时很确定,暴雪不可能让它的玩家变的无私(自私的玩家永远是自私的玩家)。
